Colours

Week commencing 6th May 2019 - 17th May 2019

Our focus topic within the Under 3's will be 'Colours' we will be exploring a range of books during our story time within the toddler room; Maisy's rainbow dream, Maisy's colours, The very hungry caterpillar, Little red hen and Elmer. We will be supporting the children in recognising colours throughout all of these exciting books. Some of our story time activities include; fruit tasting, having a teddy bear's picnic outside (weather dependent) and encouraging the children to match stickers to the correct coloured paper to support them in using their fine motor skills. Our focus song during this topic will be 'The Rainbow Song' please see Katy if you would like a copy of the words. We can't wait for you to see all of the pictures of us learning about colours!

The baby room focus book during this topic are; Wilbur's first words, Never touch a monster, Elmer's weather, Colour and Baby twinkle. 

We have been using the rollers and sponges today at creative time! We also enjoyed mixing the colours using our hands. Thursday 16th May 2019

Look at how busy we have been during our focus 'Colours'

The children have been painting ice cubes today, at creative time in the toddler room. The children enjoyed feeling the ice and describing what it felt like. Thursday 9th May 2019

Today we read the book 'Maisy's colours' during our story time. The children have been enjoying singing 'rainbow song' Our activity today was to match coloured stickers to the correct coloured paper on the wall. The children were super at this! All children listened well and enjoyed talking about their favourite colours. Tuesday 7th May 2019
