Animals
During this topic within nursery we will be looking and talking about lots of different animals. Our focus song is '5 little monkey's swinging from a tree' Within the toddler room, our role play area is going to be transformed into a vets for the children to use their imagination and care for the animals. Our focus books this week are; Farm 123, Owl babies, Chomp! Munch! Chew!, Over on the farm and Monkey business. The baby room will be exploring the books; in the jungle, that's not my penguin, wibbly pig likes playing, touch and feel kitten and on the farm. The babies will be supported by staff to explore the investigation area, exploring and feeling a range of materials. Within the tuff spot there will be; sea creatures with ice, flour with mark making tools and wooden animals with cereals.

Here are some of the things we have been getting up to during our topic 'Animals'
We have been making dinosaur footprints within the toddler room. The children enjoyed singing 'down in the jungle' during this activity.
Look at these amazing 'pig masks' that the children have made today! The children worked hard and were very proud of them. They can't wait to take them home to show everyone.
