When can my child start nursery?

Children can start nursery the term after their third Birthday.

What funding is available for my child?

Every child is entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education per week, this starts the term after their third Birthday. At Pinxton Nursery School, this funding is available on a term time basis, over 38 weeks per year.

Some children, if their parents are working for 16 hours or more per week at minimum wage, may be eligible for 30 hours funding. To find out more about this funding, please click here.

How do I apply for a place at nursery?

Please telephone the Nursery on 01773 863105 and ask to speak to Jayne our headteacher. 

Please state:

• Your name and contact number
• Your email address
• Your address
• Your child's name
• Your child's date of birth
• The name of both of your child's parents
• Any health considerations your child may have
• Any other information you think we should know about your child - i.e speech; special needs; allergies
• What sessions you would ideally prefer for your child.
